ORIENTATION PROGRAM FOR BBA & MBA PROGRAM STUDENTS - Batch 2009

ILAM inducted its first batch of MBA & BBA aspirants through an orientation program presided over by Prof S Mohan, Vice Chancellor, Prist University. Dr. Hari Gautam, Chairman ILAM presented the welcome address while the keynote address was delivered by Prof S Mohan, Vice Chancellor, Prist University. Prof. Janat Shah, Chairperson-Supply Chain Management Centre, IIM-Bangalore spoke about career opportunities in the dynamic logistics industry.

The students were inducted in the MBA & BBA programs by Professor Akhil Chandra. Speaking on this significant occasion Dr. Hari Gautam remarked, “Indian logistics industry is on high growth phase and is estimated to generate business worth $ 125 billion in next two years. The industry would need over 4 lakh trained professionals in various sectors by 2015. Sectors that would require trained manpower in logistics are FMCG, retail, pharma, aviation, IT/ITES etc.”

“Hence, there is a huge 'Demand Supply Gap' in logistics with 'Excellent Career Prospects'. Recognizing this need we offer BBA & MBA programs in Logistics & Supply Chain Management/ Aviation Management. These are full time UGC approved degree programs that will ensure well-paid jobs in the logistics sector. The objective of these programs is to boost the development of Logistics & Aviation Industry in the country and keep Indian Logistics & Aviation Industry abreast with the changing times," added Dr. Gautam.
